Frequently asked questions (FAQ) How accurate is the PM-200 Pro measurement? SpO₂ accuracy is ±2 % in the range of 80–100 % and ±3 % in the range of 70–79 %. Pulse measurement is accurate to ±1 up to 100 beats per minute and to ±2 above that. Movement, nail polish or strong ambient light can affect the measurement accuracy. Why does the device switch off by itself? This is normal: the PM-200 Pro automatically switches to standby as soon as no finger is inserted or no signal is detected for 8 seconds. This conserves the batteries. Are the alarm limits activated at the factory? No, the alarm and signal tone are deactivated at the factory. The limit values for SpO₂ and pulse rate can be individually set in the menu and then activated. Does nail polish affect the measurement? Yes, painted, artificial or very light fingernails can distort the measurement result. Always insert the finger fully into the rubber opening with the nail facing up. Which batteries does the device need? The PM-200 Pro runs on 2× AAA batteries (1.5 V alkaline), giving it a runtime of over 6 hours in continuous operation. Is the PM-200 Pro suitable for continuous monitoring? No. The device is intended for spot measurements of SpO₂ and pulse rate, not for continuous monitoring.
