How to Use – Step by Step
- Step 1 – Preparation: Connect the device to the power outlet. For manicure: leave base plate in place. For pedicure: remove magnetic base plate so toenails fit into the tunnel.
- Step 2 – Select timer: Choose timer setting based on gel type (10 s / 30 s / 60 s / 99 s). For very sensitive clients use anti-heat function (99 s).
- Step 3 – Cure: Slide hand or foot into the tunnel – the light barrier starts the timer automatically. If needed, start manually.
- Step 4 – Done: Device switches off automatically when timer expires. Nail is cured and ready for the next modeling step.

Which gel types is the UVL-54 compatible with?
With its wavelengths of 365–405 nm, the UVL-54 covers the entire common spectrum for nail gels and acrylics. It reliably cures UV gels, LED gels and acrylic gels. For optimal curing time, follow the recommendation of the respective gel manufacturer.
Which timer setting is correct?
Optimal curing time depends on the gel type: thin gel layers (base coat) typically need 10–30 s, normal modeling layers 30–60 s, thick layers or acrylic 60–99 s. For very sensitive clients we recommend the 99 s anti-heat timer – longer curing time at reduced heat.
What is the anti-heat function?
The anti-heat function cures the gel over a longer period (99 s) at reduced LED intensity. This minimizes heat development – ideal for sensitive clients or thin natural nail plates. The noticeable burning sensation many know from UV lamps is avoided.
Can I also use the UVL-54 for pedicure?
Yes. The magnetic base plate can easily be removed so that a foot also fits comfortably into the tunnel. This makes the UVL-54 a true “All-In” device for hand and foot modeling.
How does the automatic sensor function work?
An integrated light barrier detects when the hand or foot is pushed into the tunnel and automatically starts the set timer. As soon as the tunnel is empty again, the device switches off. You can also start the timer manually.
How long do the 36 LEDs last?
The high-quality high-definition LEDs have a lifespan of approx. 50,000 hours. With normal salon use that corresponds to many years of maintenance-free use – without tube replacement as with conventional UV lamps.
Is the UVL-54 suitable for allergy sufferers or pregnant women?
UV exposure from LED curing devices is significantly lower than from conventional UV tube lamps. However, with photosensitizing medications, light-sensitive skin or during pregnancy, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.
