Product information "Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit, narrow cone (198425)"
Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit, narrow cone (198425) – for fine, precise work
The Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit in a narrow cone shape is a robust bit made of tungsten carbide with teeth for precise removal and shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic. The narrow cone shape is ideal for fine, targeted work on edges and tight areas that wider shapes cannot reach. Tungsten carbide removes material quickly and efficiently and runs at a higher speed than sapphire or diamond. Fits all Promed nail drills with a 2.35 mm collet.
Features at a glance
- Material: tungsten carbide – robust and free-cutting.
- Shape: narrow cone – ideal for fine, precise work on edges and tight areas.
- Application: artificial nail modelling (gel/acrylic); not for the natural nail.
- Shank: dental standard Ø 2.332–2.350 mm, for all Promed devices with a standard collet.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the narrow cone tungsten carbide bit suitable for?
For fine, precise work on edges and tight areas as well as for controlled shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic. The narrow cone tip also reaches tight, hard-to-access areas.
Can I autoclave the bit?
Yes. All Promed tungsten carbide bits are autoclavable (121–134 °C); alternatively, clean it in an ultrasonic bath.
Why does tungsten carbide run faster?
Tungsten carbide bits are designed for higher speeds (up to 30,000 rpm) and therefore remove material faster and more efficiently than sapphire or diamond attachments.
With the Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit narrow cone you work finely and precisely on edges and tight areas.
