Product information "Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit, cone for left-handers (198423)"

Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit, cone for left-handers (198423) – controlled work in the reverse direction

The Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit in a cone shape for left-handers is a robust bit made of tungsten carbide with teeth for powerful removal and shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic. The teeth are tuned to the reverse working direction, so left-handers can work evenly and in a controlled manner. The cone shape reaches edges, corners and hard-to-access areas well. Tungsten carbide removes material quickly and efficiently and runs at a higher speed than sapphire or diamond. Fits all Promed nail drills with a 2.35 mm collet.

Features at a glance

  • Material: tungsten carbide – robust and free-cutting.
  • Shape: cone, for left-handers – tuned to the reverse working direction.
  • Application: artificial nail modelling (gel/acrylic); not for the natural nail.
  • Shank: dental standard Ø 2.332–2.350 mm, for all Promed devices with a standard collet.
  • Recommended speed: up to 20,000 rpm.
  • Cleaning: autoclavable (121–134 °C) or in an ultrasonic bath.

What is it used for and how?

  • Optimised for left-handers: the teeth tuned to the reverse working direction let left-handers work evenly and in a controlled manner.
  • Shortening artificial nails: reduce the length of gel, acrylic and artificial nails quickly and evenly.
  • Edges & corners: work precisely on nail edges and corners with the cone tip.
  • Tip: work with even guidance and little pressure; not suitable for sensitive skin.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What does “for left-handers” mean for this cone bit?

The teeth are tuned to the reverse working direction. This lets left-handers work with the bit just as evenly and in as controlled a manner as right-handers with the standard cone. The remaining function corresponds to the standard cone bit.

Can I autoclave the bit?

Yes. All Promed tungsten carbide bits are autoclavable (121–134 °C); alternatively, clean it in an ultrasonic bath.

Why does tungsten carbide run faster?

Tungsten carbide bits are designed for higher speeds (up to 20,000 rpm) and therefore remove material faster and more efficiently than sapphire or diamond attachments.

With the Promed Tungsten Carbide Bit cone for left-handers you shorten artificial nails and work on edges evenly and in a controlled manner.
