Product information "PROMED Theramed D 3"

Promed Theramed D 3 – Open-Toe, Open-Heel Post-Op Relief Shoe

The Promed Theramed D 3 is a sandal-style post-op relief shoe that is open at BOTH front and back. This keeps maximum access free for dressings and wound care at the fore- and rearfoot – in an extra-wide fit (width J, extra-wide). Two hook-and-loop straps adjust the shoe steplessly to your dressing volume, so you stay mobile after surgery and over a cast or bandage.

Your benefits at a glance

  • Maximum access: Open at front and back – ideal for dressings and wound care at the fore- and rearfoot.
  • Mobile despite dressings: Wearable over a cast, splints and bandages as well as after surgery – partial weight-bearing possible, indoors and out.
  • Adjustable width: Two hook-and-loop straps adjust the sandal steplessly to your particular dressing volume.
  • Extra-wide fit: Width J leaves room for bulky dressings and swollen feet.
  • Sure-footed step: The neuropathy zone in the forefoot helps prevent a dangerous braking effect when shuffling.
  • Removable insole: Can be adapted or replaced by qualified orthopaedic specialists.

Applications – who is the Theramed D 3 for?

Used as described in the instructions for use, this post-op relief shoe supports care in the following cases:

  • Wound care at fore- and rearfoot: The sandal, open at front and back, keeps both areas freely accessible.
  • After surgery and cast removal: Safe mobility with at least partial weight-bearing while the foot is still dressed.
  • Swollen feet: The extra-wide opening accommodates swollen or bandaged feet.
  • Hammer toes and bandaged feet: More room without pressure on sensitive areas.

Putting it on is simple

  1. Step 1 – Choose your size: Select the right size (36–47) based on your condition and dressing volume – when in doubt, ask your medical supply store for advice.
  2. Step 2 – Open up: Fully open both hook-and-loop straps and use the extra-wide opening.
  3. Step 3 – Insert the foot: Place the dressed or bandaged foot inside and adjust the straps evenly to the width you need.
  4. Step 4 – Check: Remove or replace the insole if required, and check the fastener and sole regularly for wear.
