Using it is this easy
- Step 1 – Set up: Place the Promed the file 1030 on the worktable, connect the handpiece, plug in the power cable.
- Before first use – break in the motor: The powerful stainless-steel handpiece runs on a brushed motor. Before the first use, let it break in for approx. 30 minutes at medium speed (~16,000 rpm, 3 LEDs) – this ensures smooth running and a long service life.
- Step 2 – Insert the bit: Insert the appropriate bit into the rotary chuck and lock it securely.
- Step 3 – Select the speed: Set the speed with the all-in-one dial – the 5 LEDs show your level. Also set the direction of rotation (clockwise/counter-clockwise) on the dial.

Which bits / cutters fit the 1030?
The 1030 has a rotary chuck for bits in dental size (ø 2.332–2.350 mm, max. shaft 36 mm) and is compatible with the entire Promed bit range: titanium bits with gold head (e. g. Art. 198551), tungsten carbide bits, sapphire cutters, ceramic cutters, diamond bits. The rotary chuck holds the bits particularly securely, even at high speed.
