The Promed Silicone Polisher medium (black) smooths the nail surface and prepares it for high-gloss polishing. The black colour indicates the medium grit – the intermediate step between coarse preparatory work and fine final polishing on natural and artificial nails. The polisher does not remove any material; it smooths. Fits all Promed nail drills with a 2.35 mm collet.

What is it used for and how?
The medium silicone polisher is the intermediate step for an evenly smooth nail surface:
- Smoothing & pre-polishing: guide it across the nail surface at low speed with light pressure to even out irregularities.
- Important: do not exceed 8,000 rpm – too high a speed generates heat and can discolour the nail.
- Tip: work through the colour sequence green (coarse) → black (medium) → yellow (fine); black follows the coarse preparatory work.

What does the black colour mean?
The colour code indicates the grit: black = medium. Finer is yellow, coarser is green.
Why must I not work faster than 8,000 rpm?
Higher speeds generate heat and friction that can discolour the nail. For a clean result, stay at max. 8,000 rpm.
Can I autoclave the polisher?
No. Silicone polishers are heat-sensitive and not autoclavable – clean them in an ultrasonic bath.
