Promed Flex 2 – open bandage shoe in extra width J
The Promed Flex 2 bandage shoe is an open mule in extra width J for easy slip-on wear. It offers particularly generous room for dressings, splints and bandages and comfortably accommodates swollen feet. Thanks to the Velcro fastening with extra-wide opening, you put it on effortlessly – ideal if you want to stay mobile after surgery or with a bulky dressing.
Your benefits at a glance
- Extra width J – plenty of room: open mule for bulky dressings and severely swollen feet.
- Easy slip-on: open design without a tight toe box, with no bending down needed.
- Easy to put on: Velcro strap with extra-wide opening – individually adjustable.
- Secure step: the neuropathy zone in the forefoot helps prevent a dangerous braking effect during a shuffling gait.
- Removable insole: can be adjusted or replaced by an orthopaedic specialist.
- Available on prescription: obtainable as a medical aid via prescription and medical supply store, sizes 36–47, always in pairs.
Areas of use – who is the Flex 2 suitable for?
The Promed Flex 2 was developed for people with particularly high dressing or volume requirements. Particularly suitable for:
- Bulky dressings & splints: the open mule offers maximum room.
- Severely swollen feet: extra width J relieves pressure-sensitive feet.
- After surgery and cast dressings: accommodates the foot together with the dressing and enables early mobility.
- Wound healing with partial weight-bearing: for post-operative or other, non-open wounds with a longer healing process.
How easy it is to use
- Step 1 – choose your size: select size 36–47 according to indication and dressing volume – if in doubt, ask for advice at your medical supply store or orthopaedic practice.
- Step 2 – open: fully open the Velcro straps and use the extra-wide opening.
- Step 3 – insert the foot: let the foot with its dressing or bandage slide inside and adjust the straps to the dressing volume.
- Step 4 – adjust the insole: if needed, remove the insole or replace it with an adjusted one.
