Promed Carbide Bit, Rounded Cylinder (198452) – for artificial nails
The Promed Carbide Bit in a cylindrical shape with a rounded tip is a robust bit made of tungsten carbide with cross-cut teeth for broad removal and shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic. The cylindrical shape with rounded tip is ideal for broad shortening without a sharp edge. Carbide removes material quickly and efficiently and runs at a higher speed than sapphire or diamond. Fits all Promed nail drills with a 2.35 mm collet.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the rounded cylinder carbide bit suitable for?
For broad shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic without a sharp edge. The rounded tip smooths transitions and works gently over larger areas.
Can I autoclave the bit?
Yes. All Promed carbide bits are autoclavable (121–134 °C); alternatively, clean it in an ultrasonic bath.
Why does carbide run faster?
Carbide bits are designed for higher speeds (up to 20,000 rpm) and therefore remove material faster and more efficiently than sapphire or diamond attachments.
With the Promed Carbide Bit Rounded Cylinder you shorten artificial nails evenly and without a sharp edge.
