Product information "Promed Carbide Bit Flame (198461)"
Promed Carbide Bit Flame (198461) – for artificial nails
The Promed Carbide Bit in a flame shape is a robust bit made of tungsten carbide with teeth for the precise removal and shortening of artificial nails, gel and acrylic. The flame shape works especially precisely at edges, corners and along the nail fold thanks to its tapering, curved contour. Carbide removes material quickly and efficiently and runs at a higher speed than sapphire or diamond. Fits all Promed nail drills with a 2.35 mm collet.
Key features at a glance
- Material: tungsten carbide – robust and free-cutting.
- Shape: flame – ideal for precise work at edges, corners and along the nail fold.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the Carbide Bit Flame suitable for?
For precise work at edges, corners and along the nail fold. The tapering, curved flame shape targets hard-to-reach areas on artificial nails.
Can I autoclave the bit?
Yes. All Promed carbide bits are autoclavable (121–134 °C); alternatively, clean it in an ultrasonic bath.
Why does carbide run faster?
Carbide bits are designed for higher speeds (up to 40,000 rpm) and therefore remove material faster and more efficiently than sapphire or diamond attachments.
With the Promed Carbide Bit Flame you work precisely at edges, corners and along the nail fold.
